Paris Hilton was a no show at her good friend Kim Kardashian’s birthday party in Las Vegas on Friday. Apparently, the friendship is off because of big egos.

Kardashian didn’t want to be clubbing in the partying heiress’s shadow and Hilton was pissed that her less-famous friend was being called the New Paris, according to various sources, including Kardashian’s former publicist. “Even when I would talk to editors of magazines and other media outlets about featuring Kim, they would comment on how they are moving past Paris in hopes to bring someone fresh to the spotlight, like Kim,” Kardashian’s ex-rep, Jonathan Jaxson reported.

Paris Hilton apparently ditched her "best friend forever" Kim Kardashian for Britney Spears because, one L.A. wag sniped, "[Kardashian] got shined for the more popular girl." Not one to stay home and cry, Kardashian hit the MTV 24/7 party at Area the other night with fellow D-lister Brittny Gastineau.

Meanwhile, Spears hit the Hollywood Roosevelt with Brandon "Greasy Bear" Davis. They got along so well, the NY Post spy even caught them in the bathroom together.
