JENNIFER LOPEZ has ditched the performing name of J-Lo — in a bid to dump her reputation as a diva. The 37-year-old, famous for being demanding and stroppy, said her alter-ego was meant to be fun but “got out of control and really crazy”. She added: “That’s all gone with the ridiculous stories about me throwing tantrums and insisting on Egyptian sheets. That’s all firmly in my past.” The beauty yesterday told of her plans to take on more serious film roles and music projects.

Jennifer Lopez has signed up to perform at the fourth annual Fashion rocks event. Fashion Rocks is a production of Conde Nast Media Group and will be held during New York fashion week. The singer & actress will join Fergie, Fall Out Boy and Usher at the concert which celebrates relationship between music and fashion.

I don't know what Jennifer Lopez was trying to pull off with these pants! Maybe, she was trying to teach us a fashion don't! Clothes from the disco period at the back of the closet stay at the back of the closet! These kind of clothes are allowed out once a year and that is Halloween.

Rumors have been circulating that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have been fighting since Christmas and now Ok magazine has declared that the two have "called it quits."

Less than three years after Lopez and Anthony's wedding, the mag claims that they've had some nuclear blowups and that the "controlling" husband is "suffocating" his wife. Despite marriage counseling, the couple "had a huge argument" last summer, causing Lopez to flee to a friend's New York apartment, according to the mag.


Instead of spending New Year's Eve together, the mag reports, Lopez came to a Miami party solo. "Marc expected Jennifer to follow him back to New York and beg for forgiveness, but she didn't," a friend tells.

"Marc is very machismo," the mag quotes a source as saying. "Marc won't let her even do a photo shoot by herself. He is always there watching, waiting."

At a Golden Globes party, "Marc [dragged] Jennifer away after spotting her dancing with another man. … He has also insisted that Jennifer sell her beloved Miami home and the Los Angeles house where they wed."


However, all looked well yesterday in L.A. as she rehearsed for "American Idol," where she's due to sing "Que Hiciste." Her rep brands the OK! piece "a disgusting story full of lies. We're consulting lawyers."

Jennifer Lopez Does Jury Duty

Jennifer Lopez did jury duty today. She arrived at the Beverly Hills Courthouse at 8:30 AM with an assistant and spent most of her time in the jury room text messaging friends. Although we're told Jennifer was really down to earth and talked to other jurors, at one point the prospective jurors were ushered into a hallway, while the pop diva stayed inside the court room with a personally assigned deputy.

Sources say the jury room was quite chilly and after lunch Lopez returned dressed with a sweater and scarf and with a different assistant than in the morning.

At 2:30 PM word came down that the court case had been resolved and all forty prospective jurors, including Jennifer, were free to go home.

Jennifer Lopez has been accused of forgetting her roots by a US Latin music chain, which has removed her CDs from their shelves. Her music has been barred from 50 Ritmo Latino stores after failing to promote new Spanish-language album Como Ama Una Mujer (How A Woman Loves) in the music outlets.

Ritmo president David Massry has branded the star's 'Jenny from the Block' persona a fallacy - insisting the star has lost touch with her roots. He says, "We've supported her from the beginning. Now we're told by her record company she will only visit Anglo retail outlets. This is a Spanish-language CD, and if she wants to discriminate against the Latin community, then we will not sell her product. This is not the first time this has happened. Celebrities have this notion that when they reach a certain level of crossover appeal, they forget quickly where they started."

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony seem to be in love in front of the cameras, but sources say they've hit a rough patch in their marriage. "There was a fight on New Year's Eve," said a source who saw Lopez that night. Another spy said, "There was a fight after she performed at the Super Bowl, and when she had an album-listening party in Miami two months ago, there was an issue."

According to this source, Lopez stood up and talked about her upcoming album and said, "This is my dream and Marc and I worked so hard on this album . . . Marc, would you like to say something?" - to which Anthony coldly said, "No," and looked away.

Apparent;y, the main issue is that Lopez is said to be putting off pregnancy. Marc Anthony has four kids with two other women, ais very interested in Scientology.

But a friend of both said, "They fight, sure, but everyone fights." A rep for Lopez said, "They're fine."

Jennifer Lopez Receives Amnesty Award

Jennifer Lopez is set to receive the Artists for Amnesty award at the Berlin Film Festival for producing and starring in Bordertown, a film examining the murders of hundreds of women in a Mexican town.

Lopez says, "Since first hearing of these atrocities in 1998...I desperately wanted to tell this story (as depicted in Bordertown). "I began working to ensure we made this film in order to bring the attention of the world to this tragedy and to pressure the Mexican government to bring to justice those responsible for these horrible crimes."

Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to receive the award on 14 February from Nobel Peace Prize winner Jose Ramos-Horta.source

Jennifer Lopez's Ex Will Fight to the End!

Jennifer Lopez is facing a court battle in her ongoing legal dispute with her first ex-husband - Ojani Noa has vowed to fight her "to the end." The singer/actress filed her suit against the former waiter in April, after Noa announced plans to detail their one-year marriage in a tell-all book. She also obtained a restraining order barring Noa from revealing intimate details of their sex life.

Noa and Lopez signed an agreement last year, ruling he could not disparage the star or make money from disclosing intimate details from their brief marriage. But Noa told a Los Angeles judge Friday that he regrets agreeing to the preliminary injunctions.

He said, "I want to fight this thing to the end. My life has not been the same since this lawsuit was filed." The judge told Noa he must hire a lawyer by January 17 or represent himself in court.
