The tipster also says the club is "furious" with her because of her PR spin that she merely fell asleep implying the place is boring. Britney's rep dismissed the story. A club mouthpiece insisted her remuneration was "less than half" of $400,000 and that she wasn't penalized for leaving early. "Britney had a great time," said the spokeswoman. "We love her and can't wait for her to come back."

Britney Spears' manager insists that she fell asleep and did not pass out yesterday while hosting New Year's in Las Vegas. "By about one o'clock, she was just done, so we took her out," Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, told The Associated Press Monday. "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

Rudolph said Spears walked out of the club and did not seek medical attention. "There is nothing out of the ordinary here," he said.

In hour earlier, Brit had hosted two countdowns to usher in the New Year - one inside the VIP section at the hip hot nightspot and a second up on the club's upper outdoor terrace overlooking the famed Vegas Strip where fireworks were shot off from seven casino-hotel rooftops.

Britney's collapse early this morning is now shrouded with mystery. Here is what we know: She had been seated on a VIP tented-cabana bed overlooking the dance floor at 12:50 AM talking with one of her male dancers. She signed to he crew she wanted to leave and as she stood up, "she went into a dead faint and just fell right to the floor."

Brit's heavy entourage pulled her up and laid her on the bed at the same time as her personal security asked for the club to provide at least 10 other security managers to "get her out as quickly as possible." They surrounded Britney in an attempt to screen her from all observers and the new years revelers on the crowded dance floor. Photo-taking was not going to happen.

Eventually, Brit's 12-man-strong security force was in place, as two of her dancers wrapped her in a blanket-hooded poncho. Literally carrying her in both arms, they managed to propell her through the crowds and out of the club.

In the wee hours of the morning, an ambulance was called to the hotel but it was unclear if it was brought to Caesars for Britney or some other drunken patron.

Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman are planning to ring in the New Year in style and prove reports their one-year marriage is in trouble at the same time.

The couple are set to host a New Year's Eve party at New York's Hudson Hotel with a bunch of friends, according to sources, to end a trying year, which saw the pop superstar on the road and away from her man. Rumors started swirling about a possible break-up, when both Aguilera and Bratman were spotted partying without each other and without their wedding rings recently.

But insiders insist the marriage is still solid and the couple can't wait to spend more time with each other in 2007, according to America's Life & Style magazine. A friend says, "They're fine. They talk on the phone all the time. Jordan's still devoted to Christina and to managing her career."

Paris Hilton will be partying in Sydney this New Year's Eve, a publicist says.

Launch Management Group publicist Antonia O'Neill said advertising man John Singleton has secured Hilton's services to choose the face of his new beer, Bondi Blonde.

Organisers are confident the notorious party girl will show at Bondi on New Year's Day to select a bikini babe to be the face of the beer after spending the night enjoying new year's fun in Sydney. "We'll be taking good care of her on New Year's Eve," Ms O'Neill told AAP. "

"We are sure Sydney's hottest parties will want to let us know what they have planned to see if the world's biggest party girl will want to attend."

She arrives in Sydney on Thursday, the same day that 40 Bondi Blonde finalists will be chosen at Sydney's Hilton Hotel by Mr Singleton and pro-surfer Koby Abberton.

"We only found out she was coming out on Friday of last week ... she arrives from the United States on Thursday morning," Ms O'Neill said. She is expected to appear at the Bondi Icebergs Club for the bikini babe judging at 1pm (AEDT) on New Year's Day, and will be based in Sydney until she leaves Australia on January 2.

Mr Singleton secured her services for an undisclosed fee.
