Tomkat Has a Stalker

A woman was arrested outside of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Beverly Hills home Thursday. Emily Diane Leatherman, 32, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. for violation of a court order and possession of stolen property, Beverly Hills police confirmed.

Police would not reveal what the specific court order or alleged stolen property was. They said the items were unrelated to Tom and Katie's home. This is not Leatherman's first celebrity-related run-in with the law. In June, a judge ordered Leatherman to stay at least 500 feet away from John Cusack after the actor said she had been stalking him for more than a year.

In his request for the restraining order, Cusack said Leatherman was "showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside, making unannounced visits to offices of people I work with in an attempt to meet with me and listing my address as her own during a recent arrest."

Cusack said he had never met Leatherman, yet her mail has been arriving at his home. The woman has suggested in letters that she wants "a normal life and home" with Cusack, and threatened to hurt herself if he doesn't help her, according to the papers.

Hilary Duff's Stalker in Jail

A teenager was sentenced to 117 days in jail Friday after pleading no contest to stalking Hilary Duff. A Superior Court judge also ordered 18-year-old Maksim Myaskovskiy to serve five years probation.

Myaskovskiy was arrested in November after police said he made several phone calls from a hotel room to a private security firm employed by the singer-actress. An investigator with the firm told police Myaskovskiy threatened to harm Duff at an event she was scheduled to attend.

Duff and her family sought a protection order against Myaskovskiy on Oct. 12, alleging he tried to contact her by visiting her neighborhood, the neighborhood of her then-boyfriend Joel Madden and her mother's home.
