Angelina Jolie's brother, James Haven, says that his sister has lost so much weight because she is still mourning the death of their mother, who passed away in January. "Angie has become very thin because she's grieving," Haven told "It's even difficult for her to eat. I keep saying to her, 'Don't forget to eat."

"But you know she doesn't pay much attention to food anyway and she's been going through a process of grief like me," Haven explained. "She has not wanted to eat, nor has she been able to."

Part of the reason for Jolie's loss of appetite may stem from the fact that she associates cooking with her mother's memory. "There was very much that home feeling when we came back from school," Haven recalled to the Mail. "Angie and I would walk in and comment on how we could smell things cooking and baking in the kitchen.

He continued: "Or she'd be in the middle of cooking and pick up a carrot and teach us about the vegetable or the fruit so that it was visual as well. Angie is now the same with her kids."

"If Angelina understood something about missing parents before, she understands completely now," he said. "Angelina and I are orphans too, in a way. When you see those kids in orphanages, they cling to each other. And that's exactly what they have -- they have each other."

Insiders say Nicole has been using Adderall a prescription drug normally used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and is a powerful appetite suppressant. "She loves Adderall because she stays awake, and it makes her not want to eat," says a close pal. "And she takes it even more when she's filming."

Although her rep denies that she uses the drug, a pal says Nicole's actually increased her dosage: "She's taking more and more lately."

Apparently, friends of Victoria Beckham are scared for her because she is so thin and losing more! Now that she has come to America with David and has landed a reality TV show, pals are concerned that life in the Hollywood fast lane will ignite her unhealthy eating habits. "Victoria already looks like she's skin and bones — and it seems as if she's getting thinner by the day," a source told. "The pressure of the California move is already taking its toll."

Weight-conscious Victoria adheres to a strict low-fat, low-carbohydrate diet and appears to "barely pick at her food," according to the source. "Instead of a salad, she orders greens with no dressing. Instead of fish in a light sauce and vegetables, she insists on steamed with no salt, pepper or condiments.

"And then after two or three tiny bites, she leaves the bulk for the waiter to take away!"

"You're afraid to hug her because she might break." The insider believes Angelina is at least 20 pounds under the average weight for her height. The AP quotes another source as telling, "Angie doesn't seem to have a healthy appetite. When she's depressed or stressed, it's worse."

'Angelina was criticised for maintaining a low weight during her pregnancy last year and has recently been spotted with prominent veins in her arms and forehead. She was also reported to have fainted three times while filming A Mighty Heart in India last year with a source explaining at the time: "she's surviving on trail mix."'

Pirates of the Carribean star Keira Knightley is heading for a High Court showdown with the Daily Mail over a piece which she suggested she had tried to mislead the public about whether she suffered from an eating disorder. The moves follow publication on 11 January of a photograph of Keira - which was taken without her consent - of her on a beach wearing a bikini while she was on holiday.

Jessica Simpson is apparently starving herself to stay skinny for her new movie.

The ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actress is currently filming ‘Blonde Ambition’ with Luke Wilson in Louisiana but is not taking advantage of the delicious local cuisine as she is paranoid about gaining weight.

During a break from shooting last week, Jessica visited Chili’s restaurant with friends, but barely ate anything.

One fellow diner revealed to Life and Style Weekly magazine: “She ordered Caribbean chicken salad but she only ate the chicken in it. She left everything else.”

A few days later, homemade gumbo - a type of stew - was served on the film set but Jessica refrained from tucking in.

A source on set revealed: “Luke said, ‘This is the best thing ever’. He had his whole face in it! But Jessica didn’t touch it.

“She’s not really eating while she’s working because she’s trying to stay slim.”
