It turns out that Jessica Simpson's new film, "Blonde Ambition" has had its release date pushed back twice because the movie is so bad.

A source told that, "Jessica was not very focused on-set and flubbed her lines often. She always had her dog around, was on the phone with [then-] boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV."

The film is now set to come out the last week of August.

Jessica Simpson, who has already lent her name and likeness to everything from a line of edible makeup to pizza has added another item to the long list — perfume. It was announced this morning that she has joined forces with the Camuto Group and Parlux Fragrances to launch her very first signature fragrance. The yet-to-be-named line of scents is being planned U.S. debut in July 2008 and is intended to "reflect Ms. Simpson’s style, personality and confidence."“I wanted to partner with a company that would be able to express my personality through a fragrance," said Jessica in a statement. "After meeting with Parlux, I’m extremely excited to start the development process with them.”“Jessica's talent, charm and values have made her America’s Sweetheart and have shown her to be the kind of person that women of all ages can admire,” says Neil Katz, Chairman and CEO, Parlux Fragrances, Inc., which has similar deals with Paris Hilton and Maria Sharapova. “Having Jessica as a partner is a great global opportunity for our company.”

Jessica Simpson has stunned fans by shedding an estimated 25 pounds in a month. The pop star/actress hired celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak to help her get back in shape after a little careless eating left sexy Simpson feeling fat. Pasternak put his star client on a strict 1,300-calorie-a-day diet, delivering his own nutritional meals to her doorstep.
The trainer's 5-Factor Diet and Fitness plan has also been adopted by Vanessa Williams, Katherine Heigl and Simpson's on-off boyfriend John Mayer. Pasternak admits he's impressed with Simpson's weight loss: "We're making Jessica taut and toned without taking away her femininity."

I don't know about you but she already looked great, why do all stars think they have to be a size less then 0?

Jessica Simpson seems to be quite happy living the single life! She went back to her natural hair and now it looks like she is slimming down. Friday, she looked visibly smaller leaving an Italian eatery in Hollywood. Lets hope she doesn't keep losing weight.... Hollywood doesn't need another skeleton.

Jessica Simpson gained some insigh while traveling in Europe for the Cannes film festival and elsewhere. She tells on her website that she spent plenty of time in museums, and read about Michelangelo, which inspired her to write something that she herself reads over and over to "find new strength."

She asks, "Can facing our fear be what walks us to somewhere better? ... In my life, I ignore my fears too often, but then I'm left with nothing to challenge the best of me ... There is no discovery."

I think Jessica Simpson needs to stick to acting and leave the philosophical question to intelligent people.

Rumors are circulating that John Mayer and Jessica Simpson's "split" could be off. Jessica Simpson and John Mayer are both in New York City. A source at the Soho Grand Hotel said, "John came in Sunday, after Jessica had already checked into the penthouse. He met her up there and spent the night."

Reps for both lovebirds had no comment.

Jessica Simpson says she's "very happy." When sked about the split at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, Simpson replied: "I am very happy, but I don't really want to talk about my personal life tonight because it's not what it's about. But I am very happy. I will let you know that."

The singer-actress officially announced her newest film project, Major Movie Star, at the festival Friday.

Simpson, wearing an off-the-shoulder sequined dress, arrived at the Budweiser Select yacht at 10:15 p.m. in Cannes to help promote her new role in the upcoming military caper, which starts shooting in July in Louisiana.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer are over, but it may only be temporary. but perhaps not for good, a source close to Simpson tells. "They have broken up," says the source. "But they have broken up and gotten back together at least ten times before."

According to the source, the pair are in constant contact even as Simpson promotes her film at the Cannes Film Festival in France. "They talk to each other at least six times a day. I don't know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up."

In fact, the pair have "been emailing and talking to each other," since Simpson went to Cannes, says a Simpson friend. "I'm sure they'll get back together."

As for why the two singers split, a friend of Mayer's says, "John did say that he broke up [with Jessica]. He said that it was because he was just over it."

But the pal says there is no other woman. "He's fine about it, he's not upset – but he's definitely not looking for someone right now."

A source who spoke with Mayer recently says the breakup came as a surprise: "Whenever I've seen them, they've been tight and together. I've never seen them argue or anything."

Reps for Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, refused to comment on their clients' personal lives.

Joe Simpson may not have approved of Nick Lachey, but he's giving John Mayer, the thumbs up. "If Jessica is in love, I love the things she is in love with," Joe Simpson todl. "I want her to be happy. I'm always a fan of his. I love him; he's got great music."

Simpson wasn't such a fan of Lachey when Jessica married the former boy-bander in 2002. "Everybody thought, including my father, that my marriage to Nick would kill my career," Jessica told in 2004, a year before she and Lachey separated.

But Joe Simpson says Mayer is a different story. "I think the beautiful thing is that [he and Jessica] don't do the same thing," he told. "He's a legend already. There is no competition. He's a guitarist; that's his thing. Jessica is a singer. She doesn't play guitar, so there's no competition."

I think these two are so cute together. They match each other so well. Jessica seems like she feels so much more comfortable with John Mayer . I really think she has redeemed herself. Nick played Jessica's faults to the media to gain support. She seems like she just wants to be normal and lay low.

Observes another pal, Christina Milian, who was in Simpson's "Public Affair" video: "Clearly this is a relationship that's not for the cameras. It's not about celebrity. It seems like they truly have an attraction to each other, and they're both clearly very talented as well."
